Recently started having a very strange issue. I have Nginx as the LB with 2 backend webservers (tomcat) and also using elastic nginx for updating upstreams.
Everything was working fine and couple days ago after deploying new version of code realized the updates were not showing online. At first, i thought maybe it's tomcat issue but tomcat is getting updated and running fine. When I cut Nginx out of the picture, everything works. Also, if I stop tomcat service on the webservers, and go to the website it continues to show the website! Even though the webservers are down :)
Clearly there is some issue related to Nginx (nginx/1.6.2)
I've set expires off ; inside the virtual host file
I have also set sendfile off; in the nginx.conf file
At this point I'm really at a loss of what to do, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
