better chmod root folder

Hello,

I run nginx using user and group www-data:www-data.
FTP user and group is ftp:ftp

I want to change root folder from /var/www/domain.com to /home/user1/www (user1=user no have home directory)

For better security, what user and group for that new folder and what the better chmod so ftp can connect to that folder?
