Start restreaming when service goes live

So, there's a service that starts streaming sometimes. It has static RTMP link to stream that doesn't change overtime. Is there an automatic way to restream this stream somewhere else? I can start restreaming manually via shell command. Setting it up with nginx doesn't work.
And I'd like it to be done automatically.
